Higher Ground Disco is operated by DJ Nic ('The Jock'), one of Alpha Entertainment's resident DJs. The disco provides a compact but powerful setup with a fexible, varied soundtrack for any venue or occasion.

Higher Ground Disco provides 800W (peak) of sound, ideal for audiences of up to 150 people. The sound system includes a sub-woofer as standard, for that extra 'punch'. There is also an up to date array of effects, including three music activated lighting units with a total power of 750 Watts. A strobe and Laser come included as standard. A smoke machine can also be used, subject to venue regulations.
The DJ is fully insured, and has had over four years musical experience, playing at a variety of events, from pub gigs to University Balls, birthday parties to weddings. In 2002 he was President of Southampton University's DJ Society. In 2002 and 2003 he was selected to provide the soundtrack to the Mansel Park Festival in Southampton. Nic has been DJ'ing professionally for Alpha Entertainment since the summer of 2004.
So what makes Higher Ground unique? Well, Nic's main selling point is a commitment to diversity, and it isn't unusual to hear a range of styles, including rock, pop, disco, RnB, cheese and oldies all in the same evening! However, the DJ's selection of classics and modern material is extensive, so he is able and willing to tailor a playlist to customer requirements, or respond to requests on the night.
