Caricaturist and Cartoonist NAYLOR is a well travelled International entertainer whose cartoons have been treasured by everyone from Royalty to the working classes. An incredibly pleasant personality, reasonable fees and top quality drawings make NAYLOR one of the most popular Caricaturists in the country.
Busy caricaturist Jim Naylor recently took time out to tell Hospitality & Entertainment (Autumn/Winter '96) how much he enjoys his work due to its diversity - recently he had six bookings, each in a different county, in one week!
The venues he works in range from:
The Trianon Hotel in Versailles to a pub in Edgware.
On board the Bateau Mouche on the Seine to a frigate in Devonport.
From the sedate elegance of the Orient Express to drawing at 186mph as Eurostar raced under the Channel.
From Mosimanns to the Hard Rock Cafe.
From the majestic Inns of Court to a fort isolated in the middle of the Solent.
From the heights of the BT Tower to the depths of the Chamber of Horrors.
Plus not only Silverstone and Henley but also snooker and bingo halls!
Once contracted, Jim distributes his A4 colour portraits free of charge to his sitters, drawing either seated or 'on the hoof'.
With his professional background as a teacher, not only will blue chip clients be safe in his hands but Jim is equally happy mingling with teenagers at Barmitzvahs or in shopping malls.
Naylor also undertakes studio commissions, working from photographs, for presentation to guests of honour, winning teams etc.
NAYLOR is available for: Corporate Functions, Parties, Balls, Commissioned Portraits
Caricatures for: The Boardroom, Individual or Group as a gift or presentation in black & white or in full colour.
PRIVATE CORPORATE - SPORTS PROMOTIONAL EVENTS - OFFICE PARTIES
- HEN NIGHTS - STAG NIGHTS - SINGLE or GROUP CARICATURES - MENU DESIGNS - BIRTHDAY & CHRISTMAS CARDS ETC.
Guidelines To Prosective Clients
Unless otherwise required, Portraits (in colour) will be on top quality art card and distributed free to sitters. The artist is prepared to use any suitable headed notepaper supplied by client, but stresses that his card, supplied free, is preferable.
Jim will complete as many portraits as possible but no guarantee can be given in advanced as to total - this will depend on prevailing conditions. As a guide each drawing takes approximately 4 minutes (sitting) and 5 minutes (mingling on foot). The ideal arrangement for maximum portraits is for management to provide a table and two chairs in good light.
The artist will do everything possible to work to the briefing of your contact at the event, in terms of priorities.
Unless otherwise stipulated i.e.for themed events dress will consist of smart suit and bow tie.
The artist is always discreet and will not work through graces, toasts or speeches
Artist's Requirements
Clear performance times are essential. In over 800 bookings Jim has never arrived late and takes just seconds to set up. A too early arrival is counter productive. The artist is well aware that functions run late but follow-on clients and British Rail Timetables must be considered.
