The Orange Grove were formed in 1993 for the sole intention of playing good music, well. Originally a trio, comprising double bass / Vocals, guitar, drums, the band rapidly gained popularity for their swing / jazz / dance repertoire delivered in their own inimitable style.
With a greater diversity of engagements and growing audiences it was decided to add piano to the trio in 1996.
As a quartet they have gone from strength to strength to become one of the south's leading bands, performing in a large variety of venues, including:-
Café de Paris,The 606 Club,The Royal Yacht,The Royal Festival Hall
Squadron,The Barbican Centre, Garrards Jeweler's,Winchester College
Chase Manhattan Bank,Bath University, Carlton Hotel (Cannes, Reading University, Palais Du Festival,Grays Inn
They have played alongside some fine acts, to mention a few:-
Courtney Pine, Windsor Davies, Ronnie Scott,Ladie Siffre, George Melly, Jim "nick nick" Davidson, MUD, Christopher Casanove, The James Taylor Quartet, Gary Rhodes, John Etheridge.
They have entertained the likes of:-
Jack Nicholson, Rowan Atkinson,Robbie Coltrane, Roy Castle,Charles Dance.
The Orange Grove offer a service which includes everything from back-ground and dinner music to a full on dance set, all delivered in a lighthearted and enter-taining fashion.

Wedding Reception at Le Pouissin
Well what can I say, the band were absolutely great they exceeded our expectations, although letting me sing should have been stopped!!!!!! Tina from the laser shooting was so friendly and encouraging to everyone. The games company set everything up and collected it at the end of the day, which meant the Hotel did not have to worry about storage, the children (and adults) loved all the games and were entertained for hours.. All in all it was a great experience to use Alpha Entertainment and we would have no problems recommending you a very plesaing experience and you listened.
You made our wedding a very special day.
